The TEC Field Flattener (FF) has been designed for correcting field curvature and off-axis astigmatism of the APO140. FF has a wide-spaced two-lens design that corrects abberations most efficiently.

TEC is planning to run a new compact airplane carry-on Apochromatic Fluorite Triplet f/5.6 refractor this summer. The scope is planned to weigh less than 12 pounds with an attached clamshell. The handle can be easily removed for piggy-backing other accessories. First run only will include a free airline carryon case.

APO140ED — our smallest and most popular telescope. This refractor is perfect for everyone! The refractor is light weight, portable and can be used for either visual or CCD imaging. It is one of the best scopes of its size on the market today.

APO160ED — the APO160ED is the next step up in size after our APO140. Please keep in mind it is a small step in resolution, but huge in terms of price. This scope is a scaled version of the APO140, slightly longer and heavier, and may require a larger mount.

APO160FL — the APO160FL is the next step up in size after the APO140. Please keep in mind it is a small step in resolution, but huge in terms of price. This scope is a scaled version of the APO140, slightly longer and heavier, and may require a larger mount.

APO180FL — this model was introduced in 2006 and became very popular. It could be counted as largest portable telescope. It fits in any car and could be lifted and installed on the mount by one person. Same excellent color correction as the APO160FL.
