Introducing CCDAutoPilot 4.0
CCDAutoPilot Version 4.0 provides astrophotographers the tools and capabilities needed to optimize the imaging system and fully automate the image acquisition over the course of the evening. With the tools and utilities provided, CCDAutoPilot 4.0 moves from an automation program to an imaging platform, providing you with everything you need for successful imaging.
Easy to Install and Setup
CCDAutoPilot is easy to install and setup so you can get up and running quickly. The intuitive interface works the way you do, logically stepping you through the process to create an evening's imaging session with no scripting required.
Automatic Measurement Tools
CCDAutoPilot 4.0 includes automated tools to measure your camera's gain and read noise, your sky glow and color combine ratio (G2V ratio), all at the click of a button. With the Professional edition, your extinction-corrected combine ratio is calculated for you automatically. You can characterize your camera system's performance to determine your minimum sub-exposure, number of darks and operating temperature.
Flexible, Powerful Target Management
Selecting, framing and managing your targets are done interactively with tight integration with TheSky6 giving you real-time feedback to plan complex imaging sequences either connected to your imaging system or working off-line during the day.
Multiple Targets and Mosaics
CCDAutoPilot 4.0 Professional adds new multi-target and mosaic capabilities perfect for unlimited targets for astrophotography and survey work. With its powerful importers, you can easily create target lists from a wide variety of applications. Complex Mosaics are achieved with one click, providing anyone the ability to take wonderful wide field images with very narrow field equipment.
Requires Microsoft .NET 2.0.

New Features in CCDAutoPilot 4.0 Basic
Enhanced User Interface
Based on the experiences of CCDAutoPilot's hundreds of users, the interface has been enhanced to minimize errors, maximize information and make it easier to set up your sessions. Its intuitive workflow steps you through the process of creating complex imaging sessions with point and click ease. New utility windows are provided with useful information, calculators, reminders and options appropriate to the section of your planning and session setup. The help system has been enhanced with a completely new section of imaging techniques and topics.
Automatic Color Combine Ratio (G2V) Measurement
One push of a button measures your color combine ratio with a G2V star that is automatically selected when used with TheSky6 or later. Without TheSky,you can manually point your telescope to a suitable star for equally automatic measurements. No taking of images, stacking, importing into another program, etc. The color combine ratio obtained is extinction-corrected as if you had taken the data at the zenith. No further extinction correction is needed.
Automatic Camera Measurement
One push of a button measures your camera read noise and, if set up properly, your camera's conversion gain. Another button and your sky glow is measured. With this data, you can determine optimal sub-exposure times, camera cooling and even the number of dark frames needed.
One-Click Setup Procedure
CCDAutoPilot 4.0 further simplifies your system setup with one-click ease. You can define and measure your color combine ratio, optimize di
