TeleVue Bino Vue Prism Compensator

The multi-coated Bino Vue Prism Corrector screws into the base of the Bino Vue body allowing optimum image quality with a Bino Vue even when used at the highest magnifications. In general, prisms will introduce sperical aberration, color fringing and field aberrations when placed in a converging light path. The thicker the prism path and faster the f/# beam, the greater the image is affected. The corrector is designed to nullify these aberrations.

The Bino Vue Prism Corrector essentially compensates for prism aberrations for any speed telescope. To get the best high power performance possible with telescopes faster than f/10, we consider it essential. The corrector has very little effect on magnification or focus position when used with the Tele Vue Bino Vue.

Since the lens housing is short, 1.25" filter threads are included. This setup can be used in all Tele Vue diagonals without fear of hitting the mirror.

Note: this corrector does NOT compensate for the Bino Vue''''s'' optical path length. It is designed for the Bino Vue. As such, this setup can be used with any telescope that can accommodate the Bino Vue''''s'' approximate 5" optical path length, i.e. Tele Vue-102i, SCT''''s'', Donbsonian/Newtonians with truss tubes 5" shorter than normal.
