The perfect storage and transport solution for Losmandy's GM8G11G or G11G modular mounts that have RA and DEC components with tucked in motors! This MCS, or Mount Case Set, includes two cases; one for each axis. The DEC axis is unbolted from the RA and attached securely to the bottom of the case via a clamp that holds the saddle plate firmly in place. The RA axis will attach to the other case base with a threaded bolt. The top portion of each case is then lowered over the base and locked into place. These cases were shown for the first time at NEAF 2017 and we were struck by the heavy-duty build and ease of use.
If you want to make it faster and easier to separate the G11 DEC axis from the G11 RA axis, we recommend the Losmandy RAEXK (sold separately).
Please Note: This case set only works with the new style mounts that have tucked-in motors. It will not work with the Titan mount.
