I own the whole nagler type 4 line & really like them all! there is a small blackout problem with this & the other t4 eyepieces, but nothing terrible. id put this eyepiece against any other 12mm eyepiece for contrast, fov & pinpoint stars across the entire field of view. in a 8 f10 scope this eyepiece is amazing!!! the instajust eyeguard is a great addition to the tv nagler line! nothing but a 10 for this one!!

just when i thought it couldnt get any better than the 12mm t4 nagler, i purchased the 17mm t4 & all i can say is unbelievable!! pinpoint stars across the entire 82 degree afov!! wow !! i really like the instajust eyeguard, it takes a little getting used to but once you do nothing else compares!!

This is by far my most used eyepiece! crisp clear pinpoint stars across the fov in a 8 f10 scope! i seem to have to leave this eyepiece out in the air as i do my scope to get it to adjust to the outside temperature before i can get the very best from this eyepiece! which is absolutly no problem to me. ive read on other reviews that this eyepiece is not very sharp, hogwash!!! let it adjust to the outside temperature for a 1/2 hour or longer & then, take in the most breathtaking views you probably have ever seen. this is one of tv,s truley great eyepieces!! dont pass this one up!!

I RECEIVED MY NEW 8 LX200R ABOUT A WEEK AGO AND WAS I IMPRESSED. GOOD LOOKING, ROCK SOLID MOUNT, GOTO WAS GREAT. THE AUTO ALIGNMENT WORKED WONDERFULLY. AND BEST OF ALL WAS THE OPTICS, !!WOW!! IN MY OPINION WAY BETTER THAN ALL THE SCTS IVE EVER OWNED! IVE HAD A C-8, 5, 6, 8 LX90, 8 LX200, AND LOTS OF OTHER NON SCT TELESCOPES. NOW THE QUESTION, HOW WOULD I RATE THE OPTICS COMPARED TO QUALITY REFRACOR. WELL I HAVE ONLY OWNED ONE, A TV 85 & I WILL TELL YOU I LIKE THE VIEW QUITE A BIT BETTER IN MY LX200R THAN THE TV 85. CRISP PINPOINT STARS AND A LOT BRIGHTER VIEW DUE TO THE LARGER SIZE OF THE LX200R. THE COLLIMATION WAS I MEAN DEAD ON. TEXT BOOK DIFFRACTION RINGS ON BOTH SIDES OF FOCUS. I WAS AMAZED HOW WELL THE RINGS LOOKED, I HAD TO STOP FOR A MINUTE OR SO TO ADMIRE THEM. I AM WELL SATISFIED WITH THIS SCOPE PURCHASE & WOULD RECCOMMEND THE LX200R TO ANYONE! PRETTY EXPENSIVE SCOPE BUT I THINK WELL WORTH THE MONEY. THANKS DAVID LANDRETH TX
