TeleVue 22mm Nagler Type 4

22 Nagler

This is simply the best eyepiece in it`s focal length range. The edge correction is very good if used with a paracorr on a fast newtonian scope. Eye relief is fantastic especially considering the field of view. Some laterial color but no pincushion distortion. Intadjust is a plus in my opinion

31 Nagler

Just got it and I love it! Extremely well corrected at edge when used with a paracorr on a fast newtonian but at the expense of some pincushion distortion. Eye relief is slightly less than 22 Nagler but can just barely be used with glasses. It is far and away the best in it`s class with the possible exception of the $1500 Leitz. May require rebalancing your scope. If any eyepiece is worth $600, this is the one.

TeleVue 13mm ETHOS Eyepiece

Ethos first impressions

This eyepiece is truly in a league of its own. Using an 18-inch f/4.4 the images are very high contrast and fairly sharp across the entire field of view. With a paracorr stars are nearly pinpoints to the edge. This is a truly remarkable achievement. The impact of this huge field of view has to be experienced to fully appreciated. Eye relief is a little tight but I can still see the whole field with my glasses on. I suspect that this will soon be the must have eyepiece for die hard observers.
