Save youyr money
Al really came off the rails on this one.
As indicated by others, it has a terrible orange band at the edge, and yes you can reduce it quite a bit ... by holding your eye at exactly the right place.
Its very similar to the movement constrictions of a 55mm Plossl.
What good is edge correction (that is only a bit better than the 35 Panoptic) if it forces you to hold such a strict eye position to use it?
Plus, eye relief is dismal, and at $620 it is a total disssapointment.
Get the 35 Panoptic and the 22 Panoptic for only $25 more than the price of this single bloated overweight money sucker.
Just look at the specs and then plot the FOV, Im loosing less than 4 arc. min of FOV to the 31, with a 35 in my 20 Obsession.
Look at the reviews for the 35 and 22 Panoptics.
