This adapter can be used for two purposes:
- Spacer between StarChaser SC-2 and STC-7 cameras:
- Use unthreaded holes only
- Raised side goes into the SC-2 body
- Provides 0.2″ additional spacing, which allows for greater flexibility in mirror and focus positioning
- Adapter between StarChaser SC-2 and FW8-8300:
- Raised side goes into filter wheel
- Unthreaded recessed holes are used to attach adapter to FW8-8300
- Threaded holes are used to attach SC-2 to adapter
- Rotates the mounting holes 45 degrees relative to filter wheel mounting holes
- Recommended when using AO-8A and SC-2 with older FW8-8300 units
