Takahashi has just introduced a new 645 reducer for the FSQ-106ED and CCA-250. This unit was designed in response to the use of larger chip CCD cameras.

The reducer produces a 60mmø image circle that is 70% illuminated. This new reducer contains four elements in 4 groups and offers a 50% increase in light intensity over the current reducer. Additionally, a new flat multi-coating is used to further reduce light loss.

The FSQ reduces to a 380mm f/3.6 and the CCA-250 becomes an 890mm f/3.6 instrument. It attaches directly to the rear of each scope. It further enhances the uses for the FSQ-ED and CCA-250.

The 645 Reducer Q7.2x will produce flat, high contrast wide field images with the FSQ-106ED/EDX and CCA-250 using large format CCD cameras and full frame digital SLR’s.
