Best Beginners book

By Michael Sutherland on October, 17th 2009

Some folks may be put off by the price of this book, but I assure you it is worth every penny! It does a wonderful job of grounding you in the basics of navigating the sky, using equipment and understanding the dimensions of our universe. Ive moved on in my knowledge of astronomy, but I still refer back to this book from time to time. This should be the FIRST piece of astronomy equipment you buy... BEFORE binoculars or a telescope!

Read this book FIRST!

All who are inquiring to purchase binoculars or a telescope MUST read this book FIRST. This book is a step by step introduction to astronomy, our night sky and types and brands of astronomical equipment. This is the best book to farmiliarize yourself with what this astronomy craze is all about!

Simply the Best 1st Book

By Timm Bottoni on October, 17th 2009

Quite simply, this is the best beginner book out there. It has an easy to understand overview of telescopes and accessories, and explains in straight forward ways, all the basics about astronomy, and observing. Now add to this, the nicely bound spiral binding, and the basic star and object charts, and it makes for the best book to buy before venturing into amature astronomy.
